Ceramic fiber textiles are alumina-silicate based refractory fiber, with a reinforcement carrier (usually high-temperature fiberglass), made into industrial textile products: cloth, tape, twisted rope, square and braid, yarn, etc. This material is lightweight and has very low thermal conductivity. It provides excellent insulation at high temperature. It also resists corrosive chemicals and is commonly used in acid and alkali environments. Ceramic fiber textiles are a good substitute for asbestos products in many insulation and sealing applications. The woven textile product family is a unique group of high-temperature ceramic fiber fabrics usable in a wide variety of industrial applications.
