Refractory fire bricks are manufactured with a unique slurry casting process which creates a network of microporosities producing low thermal conductivity and good thermal shock characteristics. Their strength is consistent at room and high temperatures and they provide excellent service in special atmospheres in part due to their resistance to alkali. Our two main types of bricks are soft or insulator type and hard type. Each type is formulated to meet specific thermal and physical requirements and is made from high purity refractory clays and other ceramic raw materials. We sell a selection of fire-resistant refractory tiles as well. Hard firebricks and tiles, made of a fireclay with the right balance of silica and alumina, are an excellent structural insulation material made to withstand high temperatures, abrasion, and chemical attack. Hard bricks are thermal shock and chemical attack resistant with excellent. Insulating firebricks are manufactured with a unique slurry casting process which creates a network of microporosities producing low thermal conductivity, good thermal shock characteristics, and resistance to alkali. Bricks have excellent strength at room and high temperatures and are particularly good for special atmospheres.
